Loose lips sink ships.

My dad always says this phrase. My whole life he told me this over and over and I always just thought he was being annoying. It is so true though and I have definitely learned this in the past month. I feel like everything I say gets twisted and passed on. I am getting so sick of it. Even good things. I wanted to be the one to tell them, not you. You live and learn though. At least I know who I can and can't tell things to. Sorry for being a negative nancy, but it is really getting on my nerves.

He liked it, so he put a ring on it!

I am engaged to my best friend and I couldn't be happier! my whole life I have wondered what this day would be like and it is finally here, it is so surreal! sadly, I didn't get any pictures but who's ready to hear the story? at 6 last night I was just home alone watching my shows and my mom called and told me to go look on her dresser..there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers and an envelope. I opened it and started reading and cried like a baby. All of his clues were flashbacks of how we first met. The first time we talked is when he came to my door to give me his window washing card. That's where my second clue was, at the front door. The second clue sent me to the first place we actually met and hung out, our good friends alyssa and cameron's house. I went on my way and found my third clue on alyssa's doorstep which led me to his apartment. A letter and roses were on the doorstep and he was patiently waiting inside. The letter said " now that we are together it's mostly your call from here on out. I would love to go eat with you , I just ask that we make one quick stop afterwards. I love you tons!" we went out to pf changs. Then we went to a place that has a lot of meaning to us. The hole in the rock. It's the place where it all began. We climbed to the top and sat in the exact same spot we sat ten months earlier when he kissed me for the first time. He got down on one knee, pulled out the most gorgeous sparkling ring and asked me to marry him, and of course I said yes! He definitely put a lot of thought into planning this and it was more amazing then I could have ever imagined! I am beyond excited! I am so thankful to have   brock in my life, he is amazing in every way and i am so honored to be his wife and spend the rest of my life with him! I love you to the moon and back babe:)

At Last!

 

I have been waiting 16 months for this day! ahh i am so excited to see my edward tonight! Every time I see these movies I get super upset that they aren't real life. I want them to be together forever and make vampire babies and never die. I have a problem, I know. How could you not love edward?

when you're fifteen..

...If you could go back to when you were fifteen and give yourself advice, what would you say?

Here are a few things I would tell fifteen year old maddy..

- you really shouldn't wear  so much powder, I know you think you have acne, but 5 zits doesn't even come close to being acne. Don't be so self conscious.

- don't skip out on your two lap warm up every day during track, you could be really good if you tried harder.

-I know its not fair that you can't have sleepovers, in a few years you won't mind.

-  all of your friends are older than you, when they graduate you will be left alone. go outside your comfort zone and make some friends your own age.

- you really shouldn't cheat your whole way through chemistry, it will come back to bite you in the butt when you get to college.

- learn good study habits now, you will be thankful later.

- Date lots of boys, don't get in serious relationships, you are so young.

- Enjoy high school, get involved in as many activities as you can.

- make boys chase you, you are a catch.

- friends come and go, but your family will always be there for you.

- Don't regret anything that makes you happy, there is a reason for everything you do.

- don't try to grow up so fast, you have the rest of your life to do that!

- One day your 12 o'clock curfew won't be that big of a deal, stop complaining.

- Listen to mom and stop being so stubborn, she is always right.

- Things are always changing and growing, you just have to adapt to it.

- don't take life too seriously, it's much more fun that way.

- I know you worry that you will never get married, I promise you that you will, and he will be the most amazing boy you've ever met, and he will make you happier then you can ever imagine.

- Pay attention in seminary, you could learn a lot. and be a little nicer to brother chatwin, he means well.

- Never forget all the memories you made at this age, even the bad ones, you can learn from them.

The Sniffles

I have one pet peeve, boogers.
I hate hate hate anything to do with boogers, they make me want to puke. If you don't want to be my friend anymore then go ahead and blow your nose right in front of me, I dare you.
You are probably thinking maddy, how do you get rid of your boogers then? that's a good question. I use these little things called Q tips. Thanks to nanny, who used to clean my nose out with Q tips every time she got me out of the bath when I was little. I think that is where this whole fetish started.
Anyways, you know the person who sits behind you at school and they are coughing and sucking up their snot every 10 seconds and you want to turn around and say " can you please go blow your nose(outside of the room of course), get a drink of water, and go home?" yeah that girl today is me. It's the worst and I feel bad for everyone around me. sorry. And no, I don't have any Q tips with me. I had to blow my nose with tissue in the bathroom. It was hard.

I can't believe it is already november, how did that happen?

This is going to be a great month. Matti and wyley get married in 10 days! it's about time. My favorite part about this month is breaking dawn comes out november 18th! I seriously cant wait, I am not obsessive and crazy about it but I am definitely a pretty loyal Edward Cullen fan.

How could you know love this face?

anyways, this means we are one month closer to christmas, which is my most favorite time of the year. Thanksgiving is the best too of course. I just love this time of the year. I get to bundle up in my jackets and boots (hopefully?) arizona needs to cool down, I keep wearing my winter clothes in hopes that it will stay cold all day but when I get in my car after school its 100 degrees in there. winter break is in about 46 days...but who's counting? I have high expectations for you november, don't let me down:)
