22 more days peeps!

Valentine's Day was a special day for brock and I, not only was it the day of love and chocolate it was our one year anniversary. One year? that's cray cray( yes I just said that)

I ordered an edible arrangement and left my house at 8am to take brock breakfast and give him his gifts of love. Despite the fact that it took me 45 minutes to get there and people were driving like idiots It was still love day and I kept my composure as I sat on the freeway at a dead stop.

anyways, we ate our huge waffles with strawberries on top and they were delicious and brock loved his present. I got him tickets to go see wicked on the 28th. This kid knows every song to that musical, it's weird and cute at the same time:)

That night we went to eat at true food kitchen we were first timers and we loved it. The whole time we were there brock kept telling I needed to take classes from them so I could cook healthy like that..

..I'll get right on that honey.

We then went and saw the vow at ipic.

That theater is the greatest invention of all time, If you haven't been there you need to go!

The vow was good and sad..and good.

It was a great night and I had the best valentine around!

First Kiss

You kissed me for the first time a year ago. Do you remember? of course you do. It was probably the worst first kiss of your life. I had just had mouth surgery and had a gaping hole in the roof of my mouth, and I am sure my breath didn't smell too good. Amazing you still liked me after that one..well actually, you didn't really. You didn't want a girlfriend, I didn't want a boyfriend so we were "Just Friends" for a while, until you introducing me as your "friend" started to get a little awkward for both of us;) Did you ever think that ten months later you would be asking me to marry you in that exact same spot? yeah, me neither. I am sure glad you did though! We have come a long way in the past year and I wouldn't change a thing. I have learned so much in the past year about life and love. I am so thankful that we gave that first kiss a second shot. It was the best worst first kiss of my life. In 4 short months I get to be your wife for time and all eternity. To say I can't wait is an understatement!

I bet you thought I forgot about my blog, didn't you? well i didn't I have just been busy...kind of. Christmas was great this year. I got to experience what it will be like when i am married, crazy and busy but great. We went to brock's mom's family christmas part on the 23rd and it was so much fun. Christmas eve was at my house and we spent christmas day going from my parents to my grandparents to his grandparents to my other grandparents and so on and so forth..busy, It was such a great day though I felt to blessed to be able to spend our first christmas together, I loved every second of it. I sure got spoiled too. My family spends almost every new years at our cabin in pinetop but i had to work this year so I went up later.(yes I got a job. actually two jobs, but i'll save that for later.) This was the best new years I have had in a long time. Mainly because I was withbrock and anything we do together is fun. But we went to the block party on mill. It was my first time going and i thought it was so cool I had a blast! It was filled with a lot of interesting and some disturbing people but thats ok. I can't believe it is already a new year. I have a whole list of resolutions this year. here are a few..

1. no soda- I have done good so far, so what if it's only january 5th?

2. shower more-it that weird? let me clarify, wash my hair more.

3. Be a good wife- won't take much effort because i'm amazing;)

4. save money- I have never been good at this but I think it's about time I start

5. Prepare for the temple- I don't want to be a deer in the headlights on my wedding day.

6. exercise daily- ehh not working out as well as I planned.

That's just a few. Seriously I have 30 so far on my real list..what are some of your new years resolutions?

I have so many amazing things to look forward to this year I know 2012 is going to be good to me, i am so excited to start this new chapter of my life I can't even stand it. Happy new years everyone!

It's a funny story

This is going to be a long one.

I don't know why but weird things tend to happen to me at school.

For example, a few months ago I tripped over a blind girl's cane and she yelled at me and called me a mean name..embarrassing.

I always get hit on by black guys, but yesterday was different.

so I was sitting in the library minding my own business and this big nasty guy decides to strike up a conversation..I was not interested in participating.

Here's how it went..

Creep: Hey girl, what's up?

me: minding my business..I can't hear you..

Creep: ooh are you gonna be shy girl? I can work with that.

Me: hmm weird..still can't hear anything

Creep: you like to play hard to get?

Me: I then proceed to give him the you are an idiot look

Creep: ok so can I have your number?

Me: I had nothing left to do but use my defense mechanism. I flipped him the RING

Creep: oh girl has a husband..now I am scared.

Boy next to me: I think she would like you to get a life and leave her alone!

Creep: who are you? her husband? 

Nice Boy: no, but i am pretty sure her husband would like me to kick your a#*!

....It went downhill from there and they both got kicked out of the library. I thanked the nice guy for standing up for me. I can't believe there are guys who have the nerve to talk to a girl that way. Like really? get some class.

Anyways, I made my first craft last night and I am pretty pleased with myself!

It was super simple and you can write notes on it with a dry erase marker! yay for crafts and pinterest!

A few weeks ago brock and I went to dinner with cam and lyss. lyss and I decided we wanted to do something fun afterwards, so we came up with the idea to go ice blocking on a big hill. The boys were not too thrilled about our idea but they knew what was good for them, so they complied:) We got our blocks and towels and headed off to the hill. I guess I am not a skilled ice blocker because i fell EVERY SINGLE time I went down. And it was freezing and the grass was wet. But it's ok I don't regret my injuries. I had fun.

crafts, crafts, crafts

Here are some crafts I would like to make, thanks to pinterest my new best friend. For everyone who knows me you are probably thinking "maddy you don't even know how to craft". You are right I don't but I am going to start. that's what you do when you get married, right?

Is this not the coolest headboard? I am making it. 

Well actually..brock is and he will like it.
